Ford's Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid is an all-new addition to the redesigned Fusion lineup for 2013. The fuel-conscious sedan combines a high-voltage lithium-ion battery and electric motor with a 2.0L gasoline engine, good for a combined 188 hp. The plug-in feature provides battery recharging with a household 120-volt outlet. Also featured is regenerative braking, which captures kinetic energy built up during braking and stores it for later use. The Fusion Energi carries an EPA rating of 100 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent). Apart from its innovative powertrain, the Fusion Energi carries an attractive coupe-like sedan body and active grille shutters, which help reduce resistance and increase efficiency. Inside the spacious cabin there's Ford's SYNC and MyFord Touch, high-quality materials, advanced safety features and more. The 2013 Ford Fusion Energi starts at $38,700.
