Jay Leno Auctions F-150 Harley Davidson Truck for Charity

If you’re reading this blog, then you’re probably well aware of Jay Leno’s love of cars. Since leaving The Tonight Show, the veteran funnyman has continued this passion with his own YouTube series, Jay Leno’s Garage. In the latest episode, Leno featured a one-of-a-kind F-150 Harley Davidson truck (pictured) that one lucky luxury truck fanatic can own this month, provided he or she can meet the auction price. The 2000 Harley Davidson Ford F-150 is truly the first of its kind. In fact, Leno commissioned Ford to manufacture this custom-made truck for his extensive and impressive automobile collection. With only 2,000 miles on it, the limited edition, supercharged F-150 Harley Davidson truck with the jet-black paint job and red pinstripe is practically like new. And for a truck with the workmanlike reputation of the F-150, owning one in such pristine condition is rare indeed. The luxury accommodations that come with the F-150 Harley Davidson truck are such that Leno describes it in the video below as a “Lincoln Continental that’s a truck.” In addition to style, this unique luxury truck model is as powerful as its F-150 brethren with its capacity to generate 360 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. As F-150 Marketing Manager Eric Peterson points out in his discussion with Leno, the F-150 Harley Davidson edition set the benchmark for the luxury trucks that followed. Until this F-150 model rolled off the manufacturing floor over a decade and a half ago, we didn’t see luxury trucks of this caliber, Peterson claims. After reviewing the merits of the F-150 Harley Davidson truck, Leno and Peterson take it around for a test spin and discuss cars like two gearheads might. Typically, Leno is reluctant to sell off any of his vehicular beauties except, of course, when it’s for a good cause. In this case, the cause is certainly a good one. All profits from the sale of the F-150 Harley Davidson truck will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The winning bid will even get a tour of Leno’s garage as well, which is a treat unto itself. Ford will help Leno auction off the F-150 Harley Davidson truck on January 29th at the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company in Scottsdale, AZ. So what do you think this Ford-Harley Davidson truck will fetch in auction? Before you answer, watch the video below and see the vehicle in action for yourself:
