Tesla Announces Tentative Release Date for Model 3

Tesla CEO/super-genius Elon Musk is obviously obsessed with sex. We’ll explain what we mean in just a minute—first, here’s the latest on the Tesla Model 3. March 2016 is the slated date for the reveal of the Model 3 prototype, a fact that Tesla recently confirmed on Twitter. A fully realized version of the vehicle will be released sometime in 2017. Musk revealed the launch date for the eagerly awaited Model 3 in a conference call with investors. Musk cautioned that the March 2016 date is tentative and subject to change as the vehicle heads into production. The Model 3 represents Musk’s greatest effort yet to make an affordable electric car for everyday consumers. At around $35,000, the Model 3 should be more reasonably priced, and about 20% smaller, than Tesla’s Model S. The Model 3 name was settled on after great controversy, during which Musk accused the Ford Motor Company of “trying to kill sex.” The electric vehicle was originally called the Model E before Ford threatened to sue. As reported by Auto Express, how Musk explains the situation: “We had the model S for sedan and X for crossover SUV, then a friend asked what we were going to call the third car,” said Musk. “So I said we had the model S and X, we might as well have the E.” “We were going to call it model E for a while and then Ford sued us saying it wanted to use the Model E – I thought this is crazy, Ford’s trying to kill sex!” “So we’ll have to think of another name. “The new model is going to be called Model 3, we’ll have three bars to represent it and it’ll be S III X!” Musk concluded. Like we said, Elon Musk is a total perv. For more info on the Tesla Model 3 and other great new and used vehicles, visit Auto Publishers—the decisive leader in automotive listings!
