The Honda Odyssey is the one minivan to rule them all. Naturally, the vehicle is family friendly, but Honda kicked things up a few notches by making the van pleasant to drive and ride around in. With its as sporty as possible exterior styling and extremely functional interior, the 2019 Honda Odyssey is the minivan to end all minivans.
Honda revamped the model last year, so the 2019 Odyssey comes with the same features. This includes amenities like magic slide seats, a built-in vacuuming system and plenty of USB plugins. Those who give the minivan a test drive are sure to notice the vehicle’s responsive handling and subtle gear shifts. The 2019 Honda Odyssey gets pretty decent fuel economy at 28 miles per gallon. It also has a quiet interior, increasing the pleasantness of your driving experience.
The inside of Honda’s 2019 minivan comes with more than just practical features and technologies. In fact, the car maker is offering the vehicle with plenty of high-end materials and value-enhancing finishes. While the van does come with plenty of cubbies and cup holders, it also has a digital gauge cluster along with a nice 8-inch touchscreen that is standard with every trim level but the base entry-level LX model. By upgrading to a digital display, Honda gave the vehicle the modern interior appearance that car buyers are starting to expect and want.
Honda is offering 18-inch alloy wheels with lower trim level Odyssey’s. Those who upgrade to the Elite edition will have 19-inch alloy wheels along with power-folding exterior mirrors and LED headlights. The minivan’s standard equipment on the EX model and higher trim levels include push-button start, a rear-view camera and power sliding doors.
Optional goodies include a power tailgate, leather seats and a moonroof. You can also order the minivan with rear entertainment, navigation and a hands-free tailgate. A handy new CabinWatch interior camera is a feature that parents will appreciate while the 10-speed automatic transmission is sure to appeal to those who want to drive something that performs better. More gears also increase fuel efficiency. Honda is offering an 11-speaker audio system, ventilated front seats and wireless charging with the 2019 Honda Odyssey.
The car maker is equipping the minivan with a 280-horsepower V6 engine that delivers 262 pound-feet of torque. According to initial pricing details, the base model starts at slightly more than $31,000 while the EX begins at around $35,000. If you go with a fully loaded Odyssey, expect to pay around $48,000.
Most of us struggle to come to terms with owning a minivan. But, if you need the extra space or just want something that delivers a pleasant driving experience, then go with the 2019 Honda Odyssey. You won’t be sorry.
