The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Challenges the Competition

Hyundai tossed its hat in the ring when it redeveloped the Santa Fe for 2019. The SUV will be taking the place of the current Santa Fe Sport model, which is the automaker’s mid-size model. To challenge the competition, the 2019 Santa Fe features a stylish new body style, one that’s sure to turn heads.

The Santa Fe will have an available diesel engine that will emit 190 horsepower and 322 pound-feet of torque. The standard two-row will have a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine capable of producing 185 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. All 2019 Santa Fe models will come with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The carmaker designed the 2019 model with a fancy cascading grille that features a mesh texture. Its front fascia is capped by a chrome bar that joins the grille with the adjoining LED running daytime lights. Hyundai placed the headlights and the fog lights on either side of the front end’s main inlet. This gives the SUV a more powerful appearance. Vehicle buyers can add roof rails to the SUV to make it more useful and to give it a more rugged look. The base model comes with 17-inch wheels and tires while those who purchase a turbo or diesel model will have an SUV with 19-inch alloy wheels.

To increase the value of the SUV, Hyundai updated the vehicle’s interior by using high quality soft materials, giving the Santa Fe a sophisticated look. A free-standing 7-inch infotainment touchscreen system is located in the center of the dashboard. The car company is including an 8-inch touchscreen in its luxury trim models. The infotainment system features plenty of handy apps while Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come with the vehicle as well. Manual HVAC controls and buttons for the heated and cooled seats are positioned just below the center vents.

Safety features like a blind spot warning system, lane departure and forward-collision assist system also come with the SUV. Hyundai has also added a movement alert system in the rear area of the vehicle. It will honk the horn, blink the lights and send notification to the driver’s smartphone if it detects movement after the SUV has been locked. Hyundai will be offering an optional Krell audio system for those who require the best sound.

Drivers will appreciate the visual benefits of driving the Santa Fe since the vehicle sits at a comfortable height. There is also plenty of room available in the back of this SUV, so drivers are sure to enjoy taking it on long road trips. The seats are supportive and comfortable.

In designing the 2019 Santa Fe, Hyundai is definitely challenging the competition, giving car buyers a tough choice. The new Santa Fe is an eye-catching vehicle, one that any car buyer would be delighted to bring home.
