Dodge is equipping the 2019 Ram 2500 with a 6.4-liter V-8 engine. It generates 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. But buyers can get the pickup with a 6.7-liter inline-6 turbodiesel engine. Dodge is offering this engine in two tune configurations. One is a 400-horsepower adaption that produces 1,000 pound-feet of torque. The other configuration generates 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. Dodge formulated the 400-horsepower engine to produce up to 33 psi of turbocharged boost. The 6.4-liter engine can tow as much as 35,100 pounds, but it will depend on the configuration. The 6.7-liter engine is able to tow around 20,000 pounds. 

For safety, the automaker is including features like automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and blind spot warning. Dodge decided to make these features standard. Active lane control and adaptive cruise control are available with the 2500 Ram. The rear backup camera will help truck buyers avoid running into other vehicles and people. Drivers will appreciate how easily the pickup handles as well as its speedy acceleration.
