The 2019 Chevy Equinox is Practically Customizable

The compact crossover segment is becoming highly competitive with buyers preferring the practicality that these vehicles offer. The 2019 Chevy Equinox has been battling with the likes of the Nissan Rogue, Honda CR-V, and the Toyota RAV4 for the last few years. To stand out, Chevy is offering high-end luxury features with the Equinox. The company is also giving buyers a choice when it comes to the vehicle’s engine.

As is the case with this segment, the 2019 Chevy Equinox is perfectly proportioned. It offers a sleek modern exterior and roomy interior. The SUV delivers a smooth ride when taking occupants over almost any type of road surface. It also handles extremely well.

The Equinox stands out from the competition in the category of engine options. Buyers can go with the base engine, which is a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine that produces 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. For more power and punchier acceleration, SUV buyers can opt for a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. This one generates 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. With the 2019 Equinox, Chevy is also offering a 1.6-liter diesel engine, one that gets 137 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. While the standard engine gets 28 miles per gallon combined, the diesel engine’s fuel economy is 32 miles per gallon combined driving.

Luxury options are another place where Chevy’s SUV shines. With the 2019 Equinox, buyers can get a seven-speaker Bose audio system, panoramic sunroof and navigation as well as heated and ventilated seats. The vehicle’s interior comfort is top-notch with seats that provide plenty of support, making long road trips easier to manage.

All the latest safety goodies are available with this compact SUV. Consumers will feel safe driving around in a vehicle that has blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane keeping assist. Buyers can also get the SUV with a collision warning system. With the Equinox, the system is designed to avoid false alarms, so drivers won’t be irritated by the system. It is adjustable, allowing owners to use it in a way that works for them. Chevy tweaked the lane keeping assist system too. It won’t issue an alert until the vehicle is almost completely over the line. Plus, the system sends the alert through the seat.

Chevy added a number of vehicle-enhancing tech features to the SUV, features like six USB ports, a user-friendly infotainment system and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, increasing the convenience of owning this vehicle.

The 2019 Chevy Equinox is available in colors like Cajun Red, Pacific Blue and Nightfall Gray. With different engines available and the many tech and comfort features that are being offered, the Equinox is a vehicle that buyers can almost customize to their needs and wants.
