Bigger and better than ever, the 2019 GMC Sierra is proof that work and play can converge. With its carbon-fiber bed, trailer monitoring apps and technologically advanced tailgate, the GMC pickup truck will surely make the competition take notice.
The 2019 GMC Sierra Denali is taller and more powerful than its predecessor. It features a fancy new chrome grille for added styling as well as a new engine option. With the Sierra, truck buyers can get a 5.3-liter or a 6.2-liter V-8 engine. GMC is also offering a 3.0-liter inline-six turbodiesel engine. The automaker paired the diesel engine and the 6.2-liter engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission, while the 5.3-liter engine comes with an eight-speed transmission.
To enhance the usefulness of the pickup truck, GMC focused on making the tailgate highly practical. After almost three years of development, the automaker created a tailgate that offers six positions and several different levels. The regular one flips down. It also has a flip-up load feature to stop anything stored back there from sliding off. An inner tailgate can transition into a standing workstation, one that also comes with a load stop. A wide step releases from the tailgate, and a convenient grab handle helps truck owners get in and out of the truck bed. The tailgate handle has a push button to make every feature open up.
GMC is including a standard 8-inch infotainment system in the Sierra. It features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An optional upgraded infotainment system is also available in the truck. The optional system comes with a better resolution touchscreen and voice recognition. It will save vehicle settings and it comes with advanced cloud-based features. The truck model has a six-speaker audio system in addition to remote start.
A higher seating position gives drivers a better view when they’re behind the wheel. There’s also more rear-seat legroom than in earlier Sierra models. Quality interior materials include leather seating and wood trim. In developing the 2019 GMC Sierra, the automaker included a stop/start feature and Dynamic Fuel Management technology for better fuel economy.
Safety features are plentiful in the Sierra. They include a lane departure warning system, rear-view camera and front collision alert.
For people who want a vehicle that they can use for dirt road adventures, an off-road package is available. This pickup comes with a unique suspension, one with twin-tube dampers as well as protective underbody skid plates and a hill descent control. This feature is sure to give drivers peace of mind when they need to make their way up steep slopes with a trailer or boat in tow.
The 2019 GMC Sierra is a practical vehicle that offers truck buyers plenty of luxury. Not only will the Sierra tow almost anything, but it will also keep occupants comfortable while doing it.
